Terms & Conditions
These terms are an agreement between you and Cutting Corners, LLC ("we", "us") covering the Cutting Corners game and the cuttingcorners.app website. By installing or playing the game, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Cutting Corners is distributed through the App Store under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). The Apple EULA governs your licence to the game itself. These terms add to it; if the two conflict, the Apple EULA wins for the matters it covers.
1. Who can play
You must be 13 or older to play Cutting Corners. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms on your behalf. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's use of the game, including any purchases made on their device.
2. Playing fair
Your licence to install and play the game comes from the Apple EULA. Whatever that licence allows, you agree not to:
- use bots, cheats, exploits, or modified clients
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the game, except where the law says you may
- extract or reuse the artwork, sounds, level designs, or code in another product
- interfere with the game's servers, its ads, or other players' use of it
3. Purchases
The game may offer in-app purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple, not by us — Apple takes the payment and we never see your card details. Prices are shown before you confirm.
Anything you buy is a licence to use digital content inside the game. It is not property, it has no cash value, it cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and it may stop working if you delete the game or if the game is discontinued.
Refunds are handled under Apple's policy, through Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly, though you are welcome to email us if something has gone wrong and we will help where we can.
Parents can disable in-app purchases entirely in their device settings — on iOS, Settings › Screen Time › Content & Privacy Restrictions.
4. Advertising
The game shows advertising. Ads come from third parties and we do not control or endorse what they promote. If you see an ad in Cutting Corners that seems inappropriate, please tell us at help@cuttingcorners.app and we will pass it on to our advertising partners. How ads use your data, and how to opt out of personalized ads, is explained in the Privacy Policy.
5. What belongs to whom
The game, its name, artwork, music, and code belong to us and our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without owing you anything for them.
6. The game may change
We may update, change, or stop offering Cutting Corners, or any feature of it, at any time. We may also stop supporting older devices or operating system versions. We will try to give notice of anything major, but we are not obliged to keep the game available forever.
7. Ending your access
You can stop at any time by deleting the game. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms — for example by cheating or by interfering with the service.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", and the Apple EULA's warranty disclaimer applies. We do not promise that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising out of your use of the game. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing here limits any rights you have under consumer protection law in your country that cannot be waived.
9. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for any claim brought against us that arises from your misuse of the game or your breach of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we both consent to those courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
11. Odds and ends
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it. These terms, the Apple EULA, and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the game.
We may update these terms; if we do, we will change the date at the top and post a notice in the game for anything significant. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
